Finlume presents publicly available data filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission: financial statements of listed companies, institutional portfolios from Form 13F and insider transactions from Form 4. It also calculates ratios from those figures and shows, for each one, the formula and the source lines it came from.
Nothing in the app constitutes investment advice, a recommendation, an offer or a solicitation to buy or sell any financial instrument. Ratios, health scores and rankings are calculations, not opinions about the future. Investing in listed companies carries the risk of losing part or all of the money invested.
We make no warranty that the data is complete, accurate or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for decisions taken on its basis.
All SEC data and your own portfolio are available free of charge, without a time limit. Five features — the screener, the portfolio chart, portfolio results, CSV export and the home screen widget — form the full version: free for 30 days from installation, then unlocked by a single purchase, without a subscription. The upside ranking and price alerts are free: they run on keys you obtain yourself, so charging for them would mean charging for somebody else’s service.
Portfolio results also need past prices, which the app downloads with your own Twelve Data key. What the full version pays for is the app’s own work: calculating your portfolio value, purchase cost and time-weighted return from your transactions, and comparing it with the index. Access to the prices themselves is a matter between you and the provider, on the provider’s terms.
The purchase is made through Google Play and is governed by Google's terms. Refunds are handled under Google Play's policy.
Features that need quotes, forecasts, price history or model-written summaries run on keys you obtain yourself from the providers concerned. You are bound by their terms and their usage limits. Do not share keys that are not yours.
Use the app for your own analysis. Do not use it to build a competing data service, to scrape data at a scale that breaches the SEC's or the providers' terms, or to present its output as investment advice to others.
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any loss arising from its use, including investment losses, loss of data or interruptions in the availability of outside services. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including for damage caused intentionally.
These terms may change as the app develops. The current version is always the one on this page, with its date at the top.
The app depends on data published by the SEC and on services run by outside providers. Their formats and interfaces change from time to time. We undertake to supply the updates needed to keep the paid features working with those sources for as long as the app is offered on Google Play, and for no less than two years from the date of your purchase.
If a change at the source breaks a paid feature and we do not restore it, you are entitled to the remedies your consumer law gives you — in the European Union that includes a price reduction or a refund. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
Features that run on your own API keys — quotes, the upside ranking, price alerts, the price chart and model-written summaries — depend on the provider you chose, on their terms and on their availability. Those features are free of charge, and an interruption on the provider’s side is not a defect of the app.
Portfolio results are a paid feature that uses prices from your own key. Our commitment above covers our part of it — the calculation and the connection to the provider’s interface. If the provider changes its interface, we will update the app as described above. If the provider withdraws the data, restricts it on your plan or is unavailable, that is not a defect of the app; the rest of the full version is not affected.
